During the month of January, I had the honor of displaying a black and white photo canvas of a scene at Harris Beach in Oregon.  I am also featured in three months of the City's 2015 calendar!  Both were exciting opportunities, and I hope to get more exposure in the coming months.  

I also had great success in selling lots of 2015 calendars at the end of last year.  It turned out to be a great idea to have the customer choose their photos instead of me picking what I thought was best for each month.  It's never too late to have one made; just let me know and I'll be happy to create one for you.  Also, note cards are always a good thing to have on hand.  Pick your favorite photos and let me create one of a kind cards that are sure to please!

Since I can't seem decide which photos to put on my website and which to keep out, I've decided to include new and old photos in my galleries.  Some were taken with a film camera, some with a point and shoot.  I've never owned a super fancy camera.; not yet anyway!  For now, what I have does plenty and works for me.  The lens doesn't come off and I don't own any additional methods of flash.  I don't own PhotoShop or other such programs.  I use Picasa for basic alterations and that's pretty much it! Maybe as I drum up business, I'll join the high-tech club...but maybe not. Personally, I prefer photos that are not painted to the point that the original moment captured is gone.  But that's just me...    

Yes, I still have a LOT of work to do!  This is my first shot at creating a website.  While it has been quite time consuming and has taken a lot of thought and creative brain work, I've been thoroughly enjoying making it!  I have a ton of photographs to go through in order to get my galleries just the way I want.  I am trying to provide a variety of collections so anyone interested in purchasing prints, cards or calendars will have plenty of photos to choose from. Please check back often as I will be adding more photos as I locate them...and of course take them!

I made it!  I recently entered a contest to be a part of the 2014 "Discover Colorado Springs" calendar. Upon showing up to the calendar reveal event, I noticed several enlarged photos on stands that were placed on tables. As I looked closer, I noticed one of them was mine!  My photo, which was taken at the Evergreen Cemetery, is featured for the month of April.  Wow!  I am truly shocked, honored and ecstatic!  Hundreds of photos were submitted, and many of them were unique and quite beautiful.  I am grateful that I was able to be a part of this event!  

This photo, taken at the Japanese Garden in Seattle, Washington, was featured in the City of Colorado Springs' Administration Building during the month of December.  What an honor it was to be able to display my photo there!   At an art opening, I was given the opportunity to meet lots of other local featured artists and try for some fun prizes.  It was nice to hear about everyone's passion for art, and I enjoyed admiring their wonderful pieces.  Truly great fun all around!
